Aspire
What do you aspire to achieve? What are your dreams for your life? What is it - exactly - that God intends for you to do? Really now, ask yourself that..."What is it exactly God that you intend for me?"

Do you think like this? Or are you so busy, so slammed that you never have time to dream dreams? I suspect most of us are like this. I have friends that are so busy they can't even return an email. Too many meetings. Too many demands. Just slammed.

If we are so busy - how is it that we can have any time to actually hear God? How can we know what it is that He wants us to do?

One of Satan's best tricks is simply to bury us in busyness. Keep 'em so busy, they won't have time for God...they won't have time to dream.

Yet we humans are most alive when we are dreaming and are passionately pursuing those dreams - when we live with purpose and have a sense of destiny.

How many of you have "a sense of destiny"? Think about it. Really.

Something stirs deeply within you, calling you out, inviting you to pursue and discover that which we do not know. You are no longer satisfied with where you are and are on a quest for where we do not know.

We need to have a dream we are pursuing.
We need to both aspire and to accomplish.
Without a vision for your life, without a sense of purpose, you will begin to die a slow death.

Isn't that exactly what the enemy wants? He came to steal, kill and destroy. Steal our dreams. Kill our hope. Destroy our aspirations. Just slam us with work. Bury us in our importance. If he does all that - we begin to die a slow death.

The enemy wants a slow death but Christ came that we may have life and have it abundantly. What does abundant mean? I think in part it means "full of dreams, full of hope, full of aspirations."

God created us with a craving to "become". That push we have inside for "more", "better", "excellence" and "adventure" comes from God. It was installed in us in the factory. God put it there. He wants us to dig these up. Go ahead, dig them up. They are buried there in the busyness, the committee meetings, the society, the expectations. Dig them up. Dust them off.

God wants you to dig them up and embrace them. He put those desires in you for a reason - He wants you to use them. Use the desire for adventure. Reach. Aspire.

Soar!
